WordPress Developer (Remote)
Description
We are hiring a highly motivated and results-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team on a contract/freelance basis. This role requires a strong understanding of WordPress development and a focus on digital marketing principles to create websites that look great and convert visitors into leads and customers.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Sales & Client Success Specialist, and digital marketing team to understand client requirements, target audience, and conversion goals.
- Develop custom themes and plugins using best practices for code quality, security, performance, and conversion optimization.
- Integrate third-party plugins and APIs that enhance website functionality and support digital marketing initiatives (e.g., lead capture forms, email marketing integrations, analytics tools).
- Customize and configure pre-built WordPress themes to achieve a visually appealing design that aligns with client branding and optimizes user experience (UX) for conversions.
- Develop responsive layouts that display optimally across all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) and prioritize mobile-first design principles.
- Implement best practices for on-page SEO optimization within the WordPress framework, including keyword research, title tag and meta description optimization, and internal linking strategies.
- Integrate with relevant analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website traffic, user behavior, and conversions.
- Conduct A/B testing to identify and optimize elements that improve conversion rates (e.g., call-to-action buttons, landing page layouts).
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for assigned websites, ensuring optimal performance and addressing any conversion-related issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience developing websites with WordPress
- Strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with creating custom WordPress themes and plugins and a wide range of themes and plugins in the market
- Familiarity with conversion optimization principles and best practices (e.g., A/B testing, landing page optimization)
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- English communication and collaboration skills
